To maintain our certification by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.controlsys.org\/home\" target=\"_blank\">Control System Integrators Association<\/a>&nbsp;(CSIA), we are required to undergo a third-party audit every three years. CSIA Certification demonstrates&nbsp;best business practices for control system integrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-preparing-for-the-audit\">Preparing for the Audit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CSIA recommends approaching an audit like managing a project. DMC assigns a champion to every piece of audit criteria to evaluate and update it. Storing our best practices on <a href=\"\/services\/digital-workplace-solutions\/microsoft-consulting-services\/sharepoint\">SharePoint<\/a>&nbsp;makes it easy to access and link criteria to our best practices.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-score-and-improvements\">Score and Improvements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>DMC has been CSIA certified since\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dmcinfo.com\/blog\/30413\/dmc-going-for-csia-certification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2009<\/a>. During our most recent audit, we\u00a0improved our score from\u00a0337 in 2018 to 353 in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDMC passed with flying colors,&#8221; said Don Roberts, the Exotek auditor. &#8220;They have the best use of systems, workflow, and tools to automate their processes that I have seen. I was impressed with how they take the advice from each audit and demonstrate the incorporation into their processes at the next audit.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-significance\">Significance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>DMC aims to be an industry leader, and CSIA certification is critical to staying ahead in the industry.&nbsp;The certification recognizes DMC&#8217;s technical proficiency and&nbsp;sound business practices. The time and resources we have invested in recertification make DMC a better company, helping us improve our business practices and better serve our clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDon Roberts and Exotek provide so much more than the assessment,&#8221; said Frank Riordan, DMC Founder &amp; CEO. &#8220;DMC is a better company because of our involvement with Exotek and Don&#8217;s consulting.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a strong link between certification and business performance.
