{"id":13929,"date":"2009-10-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-10-27T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dmcinfo.com\/our-work\/control-system-for-fabric-swatch-tag-assembly\/"},"modified":"2025-06-11T14:48:54","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T14:48:54","slug":"control-system-for-fabric-swatch-tag-assembly","status":"publish","type":"our_work","link":"https:\/\/www.dmcinfo.com\/our-work\/control-system-for-fabric-swatch-tag-assembly\/","title":{"rendered":"Control System for Fabric Swatch Tag Assembly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The client&#8217;s previous antiquated control system was difficult to troubleshoot and maintain due to out-dated components that were no longer supported by the manufacturer or available for replacement.<\/p>\r\n<p>The client desired a refurbished control system that would be simple-yet-functional, well documented, and easy to maintain.\u00a0 DMC\u00a0worked with the client to develop a cost-effective, functional, and maintainable hardware and software architecture.\u00a0\u00a0DMC decommissioned the old controls and installed the new system.\u00a0 The new control hardware is clean, organized, and well documented.<\/p>\r\n<p>DMC&#8217;s new, Horner PLC-based control system exceeded the previous system&#8217;s performance specifications.\u00a0 The new control program is organized, flexible, and\u00a0modular to allow for future enhancements and long-term performance and maintainability.<\/p>\r\n<p>Operator interface screens were created with a similar &#8220;look and feel&#8221; to the previous system for a seamless transition for operators from the previous machine controls.\u00a0 Improved diagnostic and production information was added without disruption to operator controls.<\/p>\r\n<p>After testing and demonstration of the new controls at the off-site refurbishment location, DMC\u00a0commissioned the system at the client&#8217;s facility and stayed on until the machine was in production and operating to the client&#8217;s satisfaction.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"198\" height=\"50\" data-id=\"13928\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.dmcinfo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/27170313\/unnamed-file-3.png\" alt=\"Horner APG\" class=\"wp-image-13928\"\/><\/figure><\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The client&#8217;s previous antiquated control system was difficult to troubleshoot and maintain due to out-dated components that were no longer supported by the manufacturer or available for replacement.
