It grew from its initial two employees in Chicago to nearly 200 employees and several <a href=\"\/contact\">offices<\/a> across the nation. Since the company\u2019s inception, Frank\u2019s guiding motivation has been, \u201cWhat can I do to help everyone at DMC reach their potential?\u201d DMC was recognized as one of Chicago\u2019s <a href=\"\/latest-thinking\/blog\/id\/9862\/dmc-again-named-one-of-chicagos-best-places-to-work\">Best Places to Work<\/a> by <i>Crain\u2019s Chicago Business<\/i> in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Frank serves on the <a href=\"\/latest-thinking\/blog\/id\/9922\/dmc-founder-ceo-frank-riordan-named-csia-board-member\">CSIA Board of Directors<\/a>\u00a0and is a member of the\u00a0Young Presidents\u2019 Organization (YPO). In 2016, he received the honor of being inducted into the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/today.uic.edu\/uic-to-induct-20-to-chicago-area-entrepreneurship-hall-of-fame\">Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame<\/a>. He\u00a0is a recipient of\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/engineeringalumni.uic.edu\/awards\/engineering-alumni-award-winners-2\/\">UIC Engineering Alumni Award<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.umass.edu\/alumni-awards\/outstanding2018\">UMass College of Engineering Outstanding Alumni Award<\/a>, and he was a finalist for Ernst &amp; Young Global&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"\/latest-thinking\/blog\/id\/9927\/dmc-founder-ceo-frank-riordan-named-entrepreneur-of-the-year-finalist-by-ey\">Entrepreneur of the Year<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Frank holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago. He previously worked with Cinch Connectors, Pratt &amp; Whitney, and Whistler Corporation, and also served as Vice President of Controls &amp; Automation Technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His favorite business books include<i>\u00a0Freakonomics<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Good to Great,<\/i> and\u00a0<i>Made to Stick<\/i>. In his free time, Frank enjoys boating on Lake Michigan, traveling, running, exercising,\u00a0and spending time with his wife and two daughters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/blog\/author\/frankr\">Read
