Chris is a member of DMC’s\u00a0Test & Measurement<\/a>\u00a0team and is based in Austin, Texas. He’s a\u00a0LabVIEW Champion\u00a0<\/a>(April 2018)\u00a0and a\u00a0Certified LabVIEW Architect<\/a>\u00a0(2014). In addition to developing and releasing community-oriented tools and libraries (LabVIEW Container, Software Module Builder, LabVIEW AutoDocumentation Utility, and more), Chris founded\u00a0GCentral.org<\/a>, a non-profit organization designed to ease the LabVIEW community’s burdens when finding, sharing, and co-developing code. He believes that we, as scientists and engineers, can make the world a better place; and we can do it better and faster by working together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris is highly active in the LabVIEW community via GCentral, the LabVIEW Champions Program, and Certified LabVIEW Architect Community. He has made significant improvements to his Atlassian API<\/a> which serves as the foundation for automating DMC\u2019s knowledge repository system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a member of the Internal tools team, Chris advises on internal software engineering process and standardization including Continuous Integration and Delivery, Source Code Control organization and best practices, and team-based workflows for software development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also leads the Knowledge Capture and Distribution initiative where he originated, organized, implemented, supported and administered an instance of Confluence Cloud with the goal of reducing the cost of Knowledge capture, organization, and distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris has a passion for technology, teamwork, and mentorship. In his 20+ year career, he’s employed all three in the context of using LabVIEW to create cool applications and engage with the LabVIEW community. For fun, he plays the violin, enjoys the Austin Symphony, enjoys Austin’s wonderful local cuisine, and loves cooking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
